What We Do

We help businesses give their customers the option to offset their purchases with ‘carbon credit’. This is done through the business purchasing carbon credits through Positive Carbon.

We follow this process:

1.  IDENTIFY: We help you identify the products or services that you want to complement with ‘carbon credit’, giving your consumers choice.

2.  CALCULATE POLLUTION: We then calculate how much pollution the product elicits (eg. how much energy it will use). We can do this on a ‘per year’ or ‘per product life’ basis.

3.  CALCULATE CARBON CREDITS: We work out how many carbon credits it would take to offset the pollution that the product makes.

4.  DOLLAR AMOUNT: We give you a dollar amount that you can build into the purchase price, or offer as an additional extra that consumers can buy when they purchase a product from you.

5.  CONSUMER PURCHASE: When your consumer makes the choice to offset their purchase, we buy approved credits on your customer’s behalf, to the value needed to cancel out the pollution, making the product either carbon neutral or positive.

Offset Type

There are hundreds of offsetting programs going on world wide. Each program is designed to do the same thing: prevent tonnes of polluting gas from entering the environment. However, many credits have other positives from reducing other added forms of pollution, enhancing education, promotion of green energy and even supporting 3rd world projects that benefit entire communities.

Positive Carbon know that everyone has their own goals and their credit choice should reflect part of yours or your organisation's goals, so we offer the option of choosing your own credit type from those available

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
